Aggrieve Within

Aggrieve Within

A Poem by Nadia Zahran

Lusting for inescapable release
Release the teases control
Control that feeds on splintered fingertips

Condensing your spirit
Condensing your life
Affinity to this knife
Knife that cuts your belief
Slice marks in your teeth

The craven way you shoot up those homes

What if your sister was on the phone?
On the phone with your mother
Praying this life will be her own

Instead of dying in the shooting of her home

Instead of begging you to just leave her alone

You discount these thoughts

As if they don’t exist
Duping yourself
Effacing the urge to resist

You seem so intrepid to the world

The world of innocence unheard

Because there is sloth in spoken word

Because you aggrieve the love

And accept the hate

Unconcerned about the trite individual’s fate
As long as YOUR own a*s is saved
As long as children don’t die on the streets YOU paved

As long as you get the food YOU crave
As long as it’s YOUR dick inside
Getting laid
As long as your skin doesn’t fade
And your b***h at home doesn’t get raped

B***h, it’s your a*s that needs to get shot!
It’s your balls that need to rot!
You shoot up our mother f*****g home and act like it isn’t s**t!

I’ll make sure it’s your bullet that fits!
No range to shoot at but your dick!

Because believe it or not
I am lusting for release!
Lusting for that day you crash!
Lusting for you to fall on your mother f*****g a*s!
But, I’ll stop this rant
End this chant
Because, Baby, there’s no way you can aggrieve me in a way that I can’t

No winner in war. I told people for many years. When war is far away. It will find your doorstep once day. Our world need to change. Race, religion and color won't mean nothing to a Nuclear weapon. Your words, hard and true. Up to me. Men of war would fight the battles. Not the young. Great words and thoughts. I did like them.

That's accurate! I love performing this one. Very emotional. Thanks for reading :-)
It's rough on the streets, people do what they feel they need to do. It's fucked, especially when it hits home. I graduated high school knowing 12 kids that died from shootings, and more have died since.
