Disgrace Replaced

Disgrace Replaced

A Poem by Nadia Zahran

Social roles are twisted

Intertwined
Uncomfortable in my own skin

Due to YOU

Scraping Every
Morsel
Of my dignity

Every time you grazed my skin
Every time you felt you should be within
I can't even begin to articulate how degrading that was

To feel my shaking fingers forcibly intertwined with yours

To feel as if
I'm fucked up with your sin
I was always

Giving up, giving in

Because nothing
Had meaning anymore

Raping me dry
Raw
Forcibly torn
Forcibly caught in the scheme of your feeble

Audacious mind

I'm immune to your kind, Mother F****r!

I know the game all too well
Too many times you've ripped my body and face

You snatched my innocence and grace
I know there's no escaping
No return to normalcy
Or consistent bliss
B***h, you've made me too used to this

Controlled by what I had no control over

By that point
I no longer had mental stability
Lines had been crossed

Self-respect: tossed

I have no urge to rewind back to my feeble state of mind

However, lack of composure has me deemed helpless

To this inconsistent trash
To this

Self-absorbed
Self-loathing
Fear of substance
Lack of self-respect
Yet all of it to you is a funny f*****g game

There will be no more mental rape

I will take back my face
I'm finally taking an overdue stand

Enlisting my hands

Around your throat
I smile as you twitch

Making you--- my b***h

Taking your lies away
Making you frail
Cutting it off
Your ego in my hand
I'm taking my stand, Mother F****r

Here's your reality, B***h

Open up and start swallowing

Because I am done following!

Real words and thoughts shared. You made the reader understand the words. You are right. People can see the world with the wrong vision. Hard to understand. Women are are daughters, wives, grandmothers and grandchildren. A worthwhile and powerful poem. I liked this one.
