lassitude

lassitude

A Poem by Nyx

midnight stars that drag along

foolish men who sing heavy-hearted songs

flowers in the field never to blossom

ambitious dreams hidden at the bottom

wonder turns to resentment

as the summer breeze turns

to the falls unforgiving frost

season of color , days of black and white

intangibale scent of this cologne

leaves a day dream of yesteryear

i'll keep living in this nightmare...

until all my life diappears .

too many times now.

i've cried lullabyes

drowned in thesevery wretched tears.

i've shed for my own creed

but i have no more blood to

bleed

or tears to shed

how i wish so desperatly

to believe

my own lies

that i weave

i want to believe that your no longer something

that i need

the oblivious angel

rejects her wings

and all her given presteige

love is not a matter in which

she is willing to

conceed

these hands bare nothing

as those worn eyes take in

dwindling  bliss

this flame withers into an

abyss

Well written, with the emotions able to surface itself and be heard. The message was sent out well. Good read.
