A Monster Be

Be afread I say to ye

Do not hie forward. A monster be

It bechanced by not far away

In sooth, I swear to ye, stay.

Sit and I shall feed ye

Whiles I cook, tell me of your troth, for a little fee

I see I will need a goodly meal

Albeit, ye do not have to, old knave, come and feel.

Do not throw rheum on my floor

For it is swept and I am poor.

Me thoughts that there were more with ye.

Do not hie forward. A monster be.

Hath killed many brave men, this creature

For I have seen their bodies in grotesque feature.

Believe in your troth, it may help ye.

Bethink me, ye shall be alone

Fighting for aught ye want

Those silly curs, before ye, all gone

Do not hie forward forthwith. Here come the dawn.

I like the way you wrote this. Would like to see more to it though. I think you could have an interesting epic poem in the works with this. Brilliantly done.
