Almost EverythingA Poem by Nyida StrongI found this in a book I'd been reading. I'd written it on scraps of paper. Written while thinking of a man I loved, still do I guess.Almost famous, almost nice
almost pretty, almost spice. Almost naughty, almost not, almost crazy, but more then you thought. Almost a lie, almost true almost a devil, almost like you. Almost a nightmare, almost a scream almost a b***h, almost a dream. Almost a pauper, almost the queen almost an angel, almost unseen. I can be anyone or anything, I could say "no" to that diamond ring. Almost stupid, almost smart almost ugly, almost art. Almost wicked, almost kind almost sweetness, almost out of my mind. Almost lost inside you, almost loved, almost in view. Almost forward, almost back almost white, almost black. Almost a coward, almost brave almost gone, almost saved. Almost silent, almost loud almost alone, almost a crowd. I have become just about all you love and fear wrapped in a ball. You don't know how you act around me Just wait it out and finally see That I'm just what you're waiting for since you could speak, since way before you loved me, before we knew what we needed just out of view. We almost had it then it was almost gone as we laid here out on the lawn. Almost heaven, almost hell almost silent, almost loud as a bell. This love that we share, so scary and new makes me happy that I'm wrapped in you. I am ready for it all, when I walk straight and when I fall I want you there to carry me I want you to still love me When I'm almost lazy, almost a pain almost crazy and almost sane. N.
