Not TodayA Poem by Nyida StrongBlade to wrist, ready to go Look out the window. But the moon's out and full. Not yet, not tonight.
Pills lined up, glass to the side. Glance to the left on the sly But the sun's out and bright. Not yet, not today.
Rope over a rafter, box on the floor. Listen to the thunder even the score But the rain's falling, a gentle lullaby Not yet, not now.
Hell, I guess today Just isn't A good day to die.
