The Eternal JoyA Poem by Nyida StrongTwo of my friends were married last month, this is my gift to them.
He is a nylon rope, sturdy and mighty, spiritual in his ways. She is a silken cord, delicate yet strong, kindness is her path.
They balance the life of the other with a promise to cherish, to love, from this day until their last.
Entwined among their hearts is the third cord, the most important piece of themselves is their God.
Together they can go far and wide, but not Forever.
Only with the iron cable of Jehovah braided into their new union and beyond may they have eternal joy.
He smiles at her, a husband with his wife. Their hearts united in their love for each other and their Heavenly Father. © 2013 Nyida Strong |
