Collateral DamageA Poem by nyiYour vanity is bad for my health Through every single puff of my cigarette Wish I could smoke you out of me Draining away my youth and vitality in the process Without you lung cancer could just be a life saver For everything now is in black and white, grey and dull You stripped away my joyful colors of life From collision of our lives I searched for bliss What bounced back as the misery terrorizing my dream You keep chopping off my soul with your silences Like we are now perfect strangers in two different worlds And I am still so much in love with you I guess that fact is no more than collateral damage to you now
