Redemption

Redemption

A Poem by nyi
"

For Buddhism and For Everyone

"

When the storm of frustration defines your morale’s state

Reeling inside the emptiness and with everyone you cannot relate

To elude yourself from the shadow of your past

And to wash away your sin, now is the time to act

May thy soul be at calamity when you hear the Buddhist chanting

You had heard but did not see the message it was sending

That only through sharing you can truly be both rich and free

But to mutate your soul as to these chanting is the key

Walking while blind folded by our own insidious greed

Self-acclaimed victory prevents us from relishing on good deed

Ignorance sweeps away our mind to be consciously deluded

But like the numerous grains of sand, let your kindness be abundant

When your unwholesome mind is filled with doubt

Let your voice be heard through your unselfish help

May you find the righteousness and see where the road ends

Good deeds will resonate your death and forever shine like a sun

May you find refuge under Buddha’s teaching

Let it comforts you when you stumble upon reeling

Sharing will lift you up from rolling inside the deep

Buddhism can be a shelter no matter how your heart is reaped

The way you live decides how you will die

Remember this when you spit unhelpful lies

Let the bitterness of life be sweetened by a child’s laughing voice

And let this voice echoes inside and fill up your heart’s missing void

This is not the account of what Buddhism offers. It is hard to actually understand the philosophy of Buddhism. However, this is rather how I feel towards my religions. I believe this is the message it offers as I believe it is to be. It does not matter what your religions is, when your heart has the desire to help others and share what you have. Buddhism offers a path for us to reach "Nirvana" which is "mindfulness". To be fully minded that the life that we know now is not entirely true and we are all deceived by our past deeds. Our soul is trapped inside our physical body and so our soul have to act as our body desires or vise versa ( our soul has craving for things as our body experiences through five senses ). Through calm mind only then we can realize what is actually happening around us and make us 'aware' of our beings. To let our soul be free from our body. So actaully goal of Buddhism to give freedom to our mind and soul from our body. The very symbol of Buddhism is that of a wheel which represents the circle of life, reincarnation and that we are trapped inside this cycle My poem did not go into those deep philosophy but rather how buddhism can be applicable in our real lives...that is to value ourselves more by helping others...Hope this poems portrays my message well...

I wanted to find someone here in my Detroit area who could teach me the Buddhism belief. I like the concern of the belief. Similar to my Native America belief. Thank you for the poem. I wish to travel to Asia and see the beauty of the temples and the people. Thank you for the poem. Poetry allow us show and teach. A excellent poem.
