A child's "prayer"

A child's "prayer"

A Poem by Chewing Wildflowers

Now I'm laid down, but not to sleep
I pray the Lord's soul will weep
He holds me in his arms, too tight
Will I see the morning light?
I do not want to see another day
I beg, anyone, help me get away
I do not trust, but I must obey

Amen.
