Teal(Emotional Scarring for Fun and Profit)

A Chapter by J. R.
"

Teal, the color of sophistication, calm, and whatnot.

"
This is going to haunt me
Is this your idea of fun?
I close my eyes and look away
We are going to hell for this

Out in the middle of nowhere
We get out the heavy sticks
A sickening crack fills the air
The deed's been done

Medium teal lies broken in the field
That cold, smooth shell is cracking apart
I don't think that I can stand the guilt
It's so painful, like a knife in my heart
I lay awake in bed all night
Think I heard a noise
Climbing upon the stair
A glimpse of jagged fragments
And a sudden chill in the air
Medium teal lies broken in the field
That cold, smooth shell is cracking apart
I don't think I can stand the guilt
It's so painful, like a knife in my heart
Bless me, father
For I have sinned
I've done something terribly wrong
It hurts just to take a look at myself
Oh, Why did I even go along?
Medium Teal lies broken in the field
That cold, smooth shell is cracking apart
I don't think I can stand the guilt
It's so painful like a knife in my heart

hmm.... I guess it's the opposite of calm and sophistication. Colors are what you do with them. Just like a poem is what you interpret of them. This one doesn't rhyme like the others, I'm thinking with the deliberate use of color in your presentations, that a deliberate rhyme style fits as well. Just a suggestion for an over all effect to like a book of these poems.
