Blue (It's Sink Or Swim)

Blue (It's Sink Or Swim)

A Chapter by J. R.
"

Blue, the color of water, calmness, wisdom, and soul crushing depression.

"
I've lived in the river since I drowned one day
The river's got a curse written in the clay
Can't remember the person I used to be
These sapphire waters are now part of me

I try to escape back to where I've been
But the cold, cruel current drags me down again
I sink to the bottom, here's what I see
Cold, bloated souls glaring up at me

I travel anywhere the current goes
I've stopped caring since my bloodstream froze
I'm cold and alone, but that's not the worst
Ironically, I'm plagued by a powerful thirst

I really enjoyed reading this poem. It has good rhythym and flow. The ending is pretty humorous and I really can't think of anything that could make it better. Great write, nice job! Truly loved this.

Haunting, simply addicting to read. It flows so well, and I adore some of the lines you have used. It just feels really solid, very creative
