Thoughts

Thoughts

A Poem by nukamichianpaux
"

and NO, it's not about matt.

"

I want to love this soul,

not look at the silly kids

and think of my

old self.

The hours spent,

the smell of hairspray

and the sight of messy hair.

The scent of cologne

and warm embraces

The smiles

and smiles and

everything was perfect.

My jeans were faded

my legs were small

My eyes were dark but

disproved such a modest soul

I didn't want anything other

To grasp at something new.

thought that it was really

who I was

gave it all up

started anew.

dumped it all out.

A new white canvas.

Sketching little by little

I found

myself.

I hold not a regret

I am resolved

I make memories without you

that one day

I shall look back on

And yet some day

I'll still look back

and say

"I want to love this soul,

not look at the silly

kids and think of

my old self."

I like the way your poem moved like a mind thinking! I enjoyed this. Much wisdom here.

Can't stop getting older. Can re-arrange life where we can enjoy the journey more. A excellent poem. Made me think.

I am mediocre at a lot of things, but never exceptionally good at anything. Writing is a good example of something I'm okay at. But I hope, nevertheless, that you enjoy these little scribblins. Str.. more..
