Angel of Death During the Korean War

Angel of Death During the Korean War

A Poem by Nat.

June 25th was the date,

My job was to be started,

For millions would meet their fate,

to Korea I was departed.

My job not tough,

Though on my heart it was rough,

The souls of the fallen I was to collect,

Their governmental status they could no longer protect.

The country becoming a mess,

From the 38th parallel I watched the distress,

Over 3 million lay where they fell,

Their souls screamed to be saved from this hell.

This line of separation,

communism it's cause of segrigation,

The north fought to spread the communist mind,

From these ideas the south fought to remain blind.

The Soviet Union and American army

Sought their beiefs to defend.

Who knew their diffrences would take

so long to mend?

As these two aided in this war,

the Cold War was knocking at their door.

Porisoners of  war ofter taken,

Their eyes forever shaken,

Operation little switch took place on

April 20th through 26th 1953,

When they were returned so many had lost

their sanity.

This war often known as forgotten,

But forgotten it is not.

For so many their life was the cost,

Do you think the families have forgotten the

loved ones they've lost?

Three years later on July 27th my job was done,

However, this war left no won.

The victory of comunisum not spread

took away many nations fear and dread.
