Once Upon a Time...

Once Upon a Time...

A Poem by Nat.
"

Fairytales do come ture!

"

Once upon a time

Someone told me wishing was all you had to do

And that fairytale dreams really do come true.

Once upon a time,

I kissed a toad,

I waited for Prince Charming,

But he just hopped across the road;

Once upon a time,

On myself I poured some glitter,

Knowing I would surly fly,

I jumped from the roof trying to float and flitter,

When I hit the ground

Mother simply ask “Why?”

Once upon a time,

I bought a pair of red shoes,

Clicked my heels together,

Hoping for Kansas

 but I only got my boo hoos;

Once upon a time,

I took the gravy pitcher,

I just knew for sure there was a genie in it,

So I poured out all the gravy,

For with it he surly wouldn’t fit;

Once upon a time,

A leprechaun was what I found,

I crept up behind him quiet without a sound,

I grabbed him and told him to hand over the gold,

He just gave me a glare hard and cold;

Once upon a time,

I met my handsome prince,

So I told him “I love you!”

Knowing someday I’ll surely say “I do.”

…All because once upon a time

Someone told me wishing was all you had to do,

And fairytale dreams really do come true.

For with it he surly wouldn’t fit;
Within it?

(:

This is so nicely written, I love the positivity at the end after all the dissapointments. (:
