Summer's End

Summer's End

A Poem by nseddy
"

A lament to Summer's end.

"

Summer why did you leave so fast.
Let me give my fishing rod one more cast.

As the blueberries disappear.
Looking forward to apple cider beer.

One last boat ride in the rain.
One last jump in oh the pain:)

Sinking in the lake like a stone.
Rise to the surface I let out a moan.

One last bonfire warmed by the flames.
Enjoying chocolate and marshmallows my only shame.

Very nicely written. I think you should take the smiley face out though since it kind of interrupts the flow and softness of the poem. Great poem though

A good descriptive poem. The longing for summer days is realistic...:)..............
