My LoveA Poem by N. Scott CohenOne of my older poems, a darker theme than I would normally use.Battered, alone, and cold; Hopeless in the winter's rain. Nothing in my possession, nothing in my heart. Across the sea, a light. I swam for days, weeks, years. I looked out and saw a light in the sky. Your hands, cupped, palms forward. Slowly slithering I found you. You smiled upon me, and gave me hope. You're light purified me, and made me whole. Days, weeks, years. All a blur with you.
