LongingA Poem by nrbthe1stA poem about longing for a love once lost.
You greet me like a sweet summer breeze that so softly touches me and surrounds me with such a familiar embrace. But unfortunately, it soon will come to end unbeknownst to me at the time, because it stands ever so still- stopped because I am in your arms but things change just like the seasons, and I am abruptly awakened by the cool crisp wind of reality. Though we shall meet again, when we do, it will be as if time had never stopped- like our embrace had never broken- as if we were never devoid of each other’s touch, and the warm breeze begins to flow again; slowly caressing me as it begins to radiate my cold extremities then deeper into my heart longing for the same sense of warmth and I am filled with happiness and contentment once more. © 2015 nrbthe1stAuthor's Note
