If Tomorrow Were to Start Without Me...A Poem by nrbthe1stA poem about losing someone you love to diseaseIf tomorrow were to start without me what would you do today It is as if you saw the proverbial redshift between us Moving further and further away If tomorrow starts without me what would you do today Would you perhaps be shocked with utter dismay never wishing to believe begging me to stay? But alas, it is to no avail for this is no fairytale Away I must go but before I do I have one last wish It is a dying man’s desire one he wishes to see before his time expires I wish for us to waltz under the moonlight any song will do for it matters not what is playing as long as I am with you If I could dance for a lifetime I would but I have been exhausted of strength due to my disease I wish to overturn the very paradigm of a shift from red to blue just remember me for who I was. All that will do Next be the very best person you were meant to be Never give up and never concede Always believe in yourself and what you can do That is the key to tomorrow and what you should do. In which case I have had the epiphany your destiny lies not with me but this you have already seen So goodbye do not be depressed for I’ll be around Every time you begin to frown think of me I’m still here- In your memory every time you see my favorite flower or hear my favorite song It shall give you the strength to move along We will meet again someday among the heavenly bodies but until then…
