![]() The HuntA Poem by nowhere
one description of the word hunt is, to pursue game, a person, with the intention of capturing or killing . but the one i like is , to attempt to find by careful and thorough searching. i am a hunter , sometimes . sometimes i am a killer. the definition of a killer is , someone who has killed or is likely to kill. i have hunted coyote i have also killed them. most coyote i have hunted i have found hunting mice or voles. they get a bad rap. the last one i hunted i saw from 400 yards and out smarted ,,that day,, to kill him at 60. the last one i killed was at 525 yards troting into a 7 mph full value breeze, i had to shoot twice , i missjudged the breeze with him troting into it. i say killed because i had been hunting deer and saw him moveing across a ridge in the daytime , he should have known better, most all ,,,,hunters,,, consider a coyote a prize because they are very smart . smart enough to outsmart a goodly amount of , hunters , unless they have a coyote call or dumb luck , which is also a part of hunting and killing. i like to hunt , but i have found that to be a sucessful , hunter, you are suppose to be a killer as well i have been a sucessful killer most of the time but this deer season i have already missed 2 bucks , and my exuse could be , my fingers were so cold by the time i had my chance i could no longer feel them . the ,hunters, and the rest of the world dont give a s**t for excuses they want you to get the meat in the freezer , well i could have pulled triger on a doe this morning at 50 yards crosshairs steady on her , i chose not to . i have meat in my freezer just now . i strongly believe that the buck i had in the crosshairs last week would have died if i had squeezed just a little more but i was using my truck window as the rest for my rifle , the rules of hunting say this is not allowed ,to shoot an animal from a vechicle. i could have had the kill , but would rather have the ,,hunt,,.
