Amongst the CrowdA Poem by Unstable WingsAn old piece I wrote a while ago.
These streets are filled with anguished faces. I feel like I am the hollow man. These laces, have been frayed too long to hold my heart any longer.
I thought they were right when they told me how "smart" I was, because it seemed I was the only one who had learned not to care. I know I said I didn't care, but I still shed tears. I guess all my fears are coming true, I'm no different from you. My emotions have returned. These are the gallows of the innocent, misguided and misjudged. These streets are filled with anguished faces, mine somewhere amongst the crowd, near impossible to spot one in a million. I am not the hollow man I wish to be, but another heart turned cold by our surroundings. THE REST IS UNFINISHED. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
