Somnambulation

Somnambulation

A Poem by nothing grinner
"

Reflection

"
Have I left behind what I once said?
All them words now vacuous and vacant-
On ideas I fed- but spewed tasteless rhetoric,
That meaningful, meaningless.
I ask, looking back-
Can our memories be mistaken for our dreams in our slumber?
You see, Im the one left behind cause I go looking for something I cant find,
But Im open to them choices, the world and its voices-
Them friends and vices- I attach and shed- the words I once said
Have faded!
Now can I start again in this vacuum?
Free from the shame of prying eyes, because now I will twist you,
Shape you and youre thoughts- to make you a promise you know I cant keep-
Wile I wither and waste them precious moments cause Im fast asleep.
When reality is what we perceive, do I stand in a tangible dream?

i really enjoyed your word choices; "all them words..." "ideas i fed" "them friends and vices"...among others. each gives great visions, multiple meanings
