Snow falls like rain.

Snow falls like rain.

A Poem by C.W Hawke
"

My favorite.

"
Snow falls like rain.
C. W. Hawke

It’s too cold for me
here
In a place
Nobody wants to find
I want to move far away

So I never have to let go
My duality shifts between
 “you or I?”
I know what I have to do
But don’t let me fall
Into the snow

Like I’ve done
So many times before
Except
Last time
I watched someone else fall
It can’t be like last time

So Please
let me hold your hand
And keep it warm
Next to my beating heart
So you can keep my blood flowing
And keep me warm

I can feel the desperation in the voice of the person the poem represents. By the time I reached the end of the poem I myself wanted whomever the person was speaking to, to never let them go. The emotions in this poem are well expressed and allows readers to feel along with the main character.
