WE ARE IN A WICKED WORLD

Poem about the evil that is going on around the world.

We are in a wicked world,

Where evil prevails over good,

Siblings are enemies to each other,

Foes pretend to be friends and friends are seen as foes,

Good intentions are seen as bad.

 

We are in a wicked world,

Where sun is shining on the wicked and the righteous,

Rain falling on the fearless and cowards,

Where kings trampled on their subject,

And the diligent are seen as been lazy.

 

We are in a wicked world,

Where terrorism is growing day by day,

People are dying every day,

Money meant for arms is been diverted by rulers in the land,

Soldiers are left to die for crime they know nothing about.

 

We are in a wicked world,

Where law makers are law breakers,

Law enforcement agents are trouble makers,

Trouble makers are king makers,

And ruling kings are dream killers.

 

We are in a wicked world,

Where crime is reigning supreme,

The rich want to be richer at all cost,

The poor have no means of surviving,

And those who labour have nothing to show for it.

 

We are in a wicked world,

Where we will reap whatever we sow,

Where world economy is collapsing every day,

Where servants are on horses but princes walking on the ground,

We are in a wicked world, where nothing remains forever.
