That GirlA Poem by HiddenThose eyes that were always smiling Have begun to lose their luster Now those few sparkles there Are the best she can muster Even those are being sucked out And I watch as her mask falters Because the laughter is forced And her true smile has been altered Those specks of happiness in her eyes Have all turned to gray The beauty of the color Has begun to quickly fade Tension and stress attack her And she is helpless to fight The lines that have now appeared Show how she gave all her might Her body is a battle ground Her brain the main clash Her hearts been torn to pieces And her life’s been turn to ash But now the fire within her Has begun to burn out The hope she held close Has been turned to doubt © 2013 HiddenReviews
