Soul

Soul

A Poem by Hidden
"

It's not my usual style, but I'm studying Edgar Allan Poe and he kind of triggered these images. I just wrote down whatever came to mind.

"
Embrace the sweet bitterness
That the darkness offers
As the demons feed upon your soul
And show you your every desire
And lay it before you in a blanket of sin
Taste upon your lips the blood of hatred
And sink into the warming depths of hell
Until death becomes the only way out
of the miserable waning we call life
Pitifully drown your sorrows in that black alcohol
Find the means to do your dirty deeds
And live without the guilt that you locked away
Into the pieces of your soul that still remained
Let them never be found
Let you never see your soul again
