Knives

Knives

A Poem by Hidden

Knives.
My heart is full of knives.
Piercing cracks in a broken heart
As I feel the shades of gray
The overwhelming feeling of death
That befalls upon my brain
Chips of heart fall deep into a pit
And await the flood of tears
To wash them away from their hell
Where no one can hide their fears
The fear of losing that one person
That you shared all your secrets to
The fear of losing that friendship
It was what kept you together, your glue
And soon you find yourself moving forward
The direction you thought you couldn't bare
Looking for your hearts pieces
That you didn't give away or share
But your search turns up like gold
In flakes that seem so small
But deep down you know that
You already gave someone else your all

Nostalgic and harrowing I find this ink. It's flow is easy to be carried away with like the deeper motions inside, and the way you have with words reaches beneath it all and pulls one along. Thank you for your work and the words we sometimes cannot express, but as in such you did find a way to.
