Faim pour le Feu

Faim pour le Feu

A Poem by Lee W. Deason

Flicker, stutter shake... in the street I awake.
In a drift there's too much sand to see. And the air is too weak to breath.
I dream of the fire for it all, smiling. Holding my teeth back with pain.
It flickers stutters and shakes.

Secular grass and artificial nature in place.
Outside the door I hear it, coming closer.
And when I reach for my pearl it's gone.
Miles away in a worse instance, in the distance.

....I bet you hear me scream....

I'm not able to bear the words, my mind implodes.
Gasping for color, in the utter of my words.
Under my breath I said, "Don't let me die."

Suddenly tomorrow breaks in my eyes.
Shoves in a love letter that looks familiar. It's elegant and beautiful.
Underneath the floor I heard some one say. I'm shaking when I sleep.
I stuttered and realized I did the same.

.... And I can hear you scream....

You better take it easy, or your gonna lose it.
You better take it easy, or I'm gonna refuse it.
I stuttered and realized I'm shaking when I sleep.

Gasping for color, in the utter of my words.
Under my breath I said, "Don't let me die here.
Don't let me lie in your ears, I'm telling you the truth.
I'm burning my hands and I like it, I don't like it.
....I bet you hear me scream....
It's elegant and beautiful.
I'm shaking when I sleep.
And the last words break my eyes.
So I sleep, in an empty setting.
