Ahead is where I am. It's where I want to be.

Ahead is where I am. It's where I want to be.

A Poem by Lee W. Deason

False alarm, its the wrong phone call.
Patiently waiting for the voice of my liking.
Gentle to the edge of the haze invading my vision.

To tell me more, I would like you to tell me.
Ask the oracle for the torch to carry.
He will tell some to go to hell, others will live on.

No more right? No, nothing at all.
Romantic images of intimacy colorize my dreams.
Beautiful pictures of you my dear, my favorite things.

All I want is for you....

To tell me more, I would like you to tell me.
Ask the oracle for the torch to carry.
He will tell some to go to hell, others will live on.

Brothers in arms, together they sang.
Choruses of prosperity and better times.
Lacking the vision they thoughts they held, we marched blindingly.
To the end of the world.

No more, no more.
Late arrivals after the sounds of alarms.
Unlimited chances of first impressions.
Brothers now letting go...

All I want is for you...

To tell me more, I want you to guide me. (Simple shepherd.)
To ask the right questions. Truly understanding.
He will open the gates, others will stand outside.
Smoking cigarettes and cussing at immorality.

The arms I want will wrap soon around my waist.
Many sweet things whispered in my ear, in good taste.
Almost asleep through the telephone, with my dear.
The only voice I want to hear.
