The statue of embrace.

The statue of embrace.

A Poem by Lee W. Deason

There is a link between arms and lovers.
Its called embrace.
Beyond their elbows there are shoulders.
These are pillows for tears of lovers.
In between them lays a chest.
On the chest is comfort for lovers.
Above the chest is a neck.
This neck is a place delicacy and a place for closeness for lovers.
Then there are lips.
From lips there are words of love and malice, sometimes these words are shot with bullets.
Also laying here is the famous kiss....
With power to break, heal, and confuse hearts in its wake.
Above the lips is the nose.
Meant for smelling the faint fragrance that your lover has, you know the one that is slight and sweet.
Lastly is the eyes which are perched just above and on either side of the nose.
These eyes speak the most and they are the most receptive.
Even when closed they can cry... cant they.
This is a list of a few of my favorite things, that love has for every person.
For right now just drape you arms around my waist, I will wrap mine around you.
We will embrace.
