Sights n SoundsA Poem by Dwayne WewehA gloomy morning I thought Lest the sun has lost shine The sky devoid of bliss A feeling of serenity Save for the strong scent Of lavender A surreal quietness Tainted images of a Pine Save for a littered Shrubs of trefoil
From a distant Echoes and Gongs Of an ageing chime My thoughts aloof with Sights and sounds Reminisce of a monastery My prayers derailed Lest twisted imagery Of painted patterns From the sky above Amber tattoos of Aloe vera and butterflies Stalk my trance Charades of Willow my unborn child allured with Sounds of a dawn chorus Colours of rainbow Coherent with the scent From beneath the soil My imagination foiled By colours of dawn The sun set beneath A gloomy Cloud Awake from slumber A flock of birds Hover above Greeted by bliss
Of Ornamental trees And Incense .......
