Tattoo

A Poem by Dwayne Weweh

She dwells deep within me
Deep, deep inside of my
Wallowed conscience
My tattoo
Is a mirror
Of my Eulogy
Pricked
To my Qualms
My Tattoo
Is the pages of
A Chronicle
Fiddled with
Fainted voices
My tattoo
Is ace of Plagues
Picturesque and
Hatched in rubicon
Undeniably Irrevocable
My tattoo
Is a crowded Cymes
with estranged Peduncle
Devoid of
Ornamental Appeal
My tattoo
Are Memoirs
Of Infidelity
Ingrained in
Embroidered pages
My tattoo
Is a Statuette
Of a veiled woman
Wallowing
In infinite decadence
My tattoo
Are tribal effigies
Reminiscent of
Ancient Juju dolls
An epitome of
Scar and blemish
My Tattoo
Are vogue words
Of Anecdotes
Enshrined in my bosom
My tattoo
Are squalor of
Catkins and Roses
She dwells deep within me
Deep, deep inside of me

Deep emotions you've released. Tattoos are permanent just as personal experiences can be. Good write.

Appreciate it
This feels like it is about a lost love that has tattooed herself on your soul

So true. Lost love and broken promises. Appreciate your comment
There is nothing more permanent than the markings left behind from a love so deep and pure....

Wonderfully penned
