I Told the SaviorA Poem by LunarSong"Come unto me, all Ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest" Matthew 11:28-29(KJV)
I told the Savior I'm worthless,
He told me I was wrong. I told the Savior it's hopeless, He responded with a song. I came to Him in tears, He dried them with his hand. I came to Him with silent fears, He turned them into sand. I asked Him if I was important, He said of course, He made me. I asked Him if I'll be triumphant, He said yes, just wait and see. I watched Hin heal the blind, He showed me what love means. I watched Hin heal afflictions of every kind, He showed me kings and queens. I heard Him pray to our Father, He taught me what to say. I heard Him talk to his mother, He taught me to treat mine the same way. I walked with Hin through deserts, He carried me when I grew faint. I walked with Him and other converts, He guided and protected his Saints. I talked with Him face to face, He embraced me in His arms. I followed Him to Calvary, He saved me from sin. I followed Him to Calvary, He died so I could win. I talked with Him in His Father's place, He spoke with no worldly charms. I said, "Thou knowest that I love thee." He echoed ad to Peter, "Feed my sheep." I asked and for what fee, He assured that He'd watch over my sleep. I knelt alone in solitude, He was still there to hear. I prayed, offered up my soul, He listened and answered round. I prayed filled with live coal, He to me forgiveness found. © 2015 LunarSongAuthor's Note
