Yesterdays gone

Yesterdays gone

A Poem by Derek Allen

Tomorrow comes,

Today Fades,

Yesterday drowns.

Do not fear the change,

for time only rolls on.

In a distant shape past the shore,

the sun dips into the sea below,

only to rise once more as a different day

Seas rise and rivers flow

only to remain the same

But the life within begs to differ

Tomorrow came,

Todays gone

Yesterday is only a dream

When the end has come for us

All around will keep on marching

We are but a scratch in ths life

So tomorrow be thankfull for today

Today beware of slips away

and yesterday is gone forever
