Blue EyesA Poem by ameContradictions and solutionsBLUE EYES
My town has many faces and my streets are stamped and grilled, my job demands attention as deadlines are fulfilled. My house is full of locusts and my kitchen's full of grime, my bedroom holds a 1000 things which pick up dust in time.
But my eyes are blue right in front of you. Me for you, blue for two, tea for me and two for you . . . Oh, my darling, I love you!
My shoes have worn the leather and my jeans are frayed and patched. My jumpers, they are holey, my earrings, are not matched. My hands are lined with love and life, my face shows signs of time, there's spots and patches everywhere, but I'm still in my prime!
But my eyes are blue . . .
My brain is in a turmoil, my heart is in attack, I think I've lost my marbles and I cannot find the back. (Ohhh.) My stomach ache is hurting and my belly churns and swirls - you wanted techno-microchips, but I love strings of pearls.
But my eyes are blue . . . © 2011 ameReviews
