Beneath This Frame

Beneath This Frame

A Poem by norman hale

Beneath this frame
Of stones and steel
We find our love
Secure and real

With in these windows
Of glass so stained
We gather our love
Forever to remain

With in our hearts
Behind these closed doors
We pray that our love
Will remain forever more

Starting in our eyes
All the way to our souls
We can rest easy, darlin
For love has reched its goal

With in our shaky hands
As we hold them together
We know our love can
Withstand any kind of weather

With in these four walls
As we repeat our solemn vowels
Our love will see us through
As it is doing right here and now

Yes beneath this roof
As well as the starry skies
I'm here to confess my love
Through my lips, as well as my eyes

               God knows
              I LOVE YOU
