Talking To The Moon

Talking To The Moon

A Poem by norman hale

I walked outside to look at the moon
And I could hear him whistling a tune
I asked him what could he see
Could he see any future, for the land of the free

He said son, I can't tell you everything
But, you can get a sign when the birds sing
If I told you all, there'd be no secrets left
Yes the wars on your earth, are a total wreck

I don't claim to know it all
I'm just here, when night comes to call
There are things, that poeple won't tell
How, those that are rich, while others live in Hell

If I could tell you, you'd be in shock
Of all the things that go on, on your little rock
I can't tell you a thing about love
Its destiny is controled from above

So I sit up here high in the sky
Watching over all, like one big eye
Now others have talked to me before
But, I had not the answers they were looking for

I don't know it all, just what I see
Not being smart, just honest as can be
So you see son, if you want answers about love
Then get on your knees, and ask God above
