Two Little Girls At The Zoo

Two little girls were walking
All through the zoo
They saw many animals
Mostly two by two

 

They saw giraffs
As tall as the trees
The leaves were blowing
A long with the breeze

 

They saw monkeys
Swinging from the limbs
Acting as if they were
Playing in a jungle gymn

 

They saw the hippos
Playing in the mud
Their armor looked like
It was covered in crud

 

They saw the lions
And they did roar
The girls roared at them
The lions roared some more

 

They saw the dolphins
flipping in the air
Then splashing back down
Without even a care

 

They saw a bear
Sitting waving his paw
As if he was happy
To see one and all

 

They saw the aquarium
With fish swimming all around
Swimming close to the glass
But, never making a sound

 

They saw an ape
Pounding on his chest
As if to say look at me
For I am the best

 

They saw an elephant
With its trunk so long
Picking up things
To show he was strong

 

They saw penguins
Sliding down on the ice
And eating the fish
That tasted so nice

 

They saw some zebras
With stripes black and white
The girls called them ponies
And enjoyed that sight

 

They saw the seals
Playing in water so deep
Some were flapping their fins
While others were still asleep

 

They saw some cheetahs
Running very very fast
The girls  was wandering
How long there play would last

 

They saw kangaroos
Jumping all around
With babies in pouches
But not making a sound

 

They saw some peacocks
With tails all fanned out
The girls were in awe
There's no doubt

 

They saw panda bears
Climbing in the trees
Eating those leafs
Like they didn't have a care

 

By the time they left the zoo
They was wore completly out
But, they'll have sweet dreams
On that there's no doubt

I would love to see this as a children's book....each page containing your word rhyme with pictures for the younger folks...

thanks this just came to me one night asa I was putting the girls to bed now i'm stuck reading these to them lol oldest will be 4 in jan. the other will be 2 in dec. there mom has them rotten lol
