Sitting Here On The Porch

Sitting Here On The Porch

A Poem by norman hale

Sitting here on the porch
In this cool night air
When I close my eyes
I smell the fragrance of your hair

Then I get a vision of you
Standing and holding me close
There is no other medicine
Like that of a love dose

I can feel your warmth
As we hold each other tight
With the Angel of my dreams
Oh, what a Heavenly sight

I open my eyes wide open
But, you're not there at all
It's then I feel the chill
As the frost begins to fall

Then for some reason
That fragrance catches my nose
And I get an eerie feeling
Tingling all the way to my toes

Then I catch a glimpse of an angel
Disappearing  without a sound
It must be Heaven sending me a message
That your love will always be around
