My man never came

My man never came

A Poem by norajesus

Broken promises, empty words

In every crime; you wore a gloves

Neglected with fear of losing you, I paid the price with an overdose

I have feelings for you; these words you threw out the window once you were done

You gambled and you won

A wolf in a cloak of sheep you came to me

You were a shepherd while I followed you to vain

I had dreams; you had games

I brought love; you brought pain

And now I'm left with an empty left hand and two rings of a man that never came
