I Am Empty

I Am Empty

A Poem by mae23

I am made of glass.

Easy to see through, easy to Break.

I am supposed to be full.

My purpose is forgotten, my purpose is Unfulfilled.

There is nothing within me.

I am filled with air, I am filled with Emptiness.

Short and simple but totally relatable. There comes those times when you feel like you're lost, like you're not exactly unhappy, but it's as if nothing matters at the moment. You managed to describe it in few creative words.

I think many people feel this way much of the time, but we go on hiding this fragility under whatever cover we are inclined to display. Good imagery with a sense of determination & resignation (strange contrast, but very realistic).

You stimulate some serious thought with your brevity. Good going!

Take care -Dave

Thank you for the review.
It's beautiful so much to take in and so much said in very few words

Nice one. Less words but meaningful.

To help you get out from emptiness
Should I pour you some dazzling wine
To bring you a glass of happiness "
