Broken

Broken

A Poem by mae23

I want to love you.

I want to want you.

I want to forgive you.

I want

To hold you close

And let you hold me.

To take your hand

And gently

Press it to my lips.

To fall asleep

Next to you

And wake up

With you still beside me.

To look in your eyes

And see my future.

To kiss your lips

And feel a spark.

I want to love you

With all I am

And all I ever will be.

I want to forgive you,

But I can’t.

I want to want you,

But I don’t.

I want to love you.

But that part of me is now broken.

You have broken me.

Love is hard. If we forgive and take back. The heart still remember. I liked the opposite thoughts in the poem. Like the old song. Should I stay or should I go? Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Depressingly delicious. Smooth and silky, melts like painful stimulus.

Joyous read.
