Falling with the Snow!A Story by Nong VangMe and snow...
My mind is empty as I stare out the window. Snowflakes fall from the sky, thrust by the wind, and land on the cold hard ground forced to be somewhere they don't want to be. I told myself to believe that moving away from my hometown is the right choice for my family. A fresh new start is always good for the soul.
From California to now living in Minnesota, you could imagine how blown away I was experiencing my first day of snow. The senses of touching, tasting, and hearing the snow was all very beautiful to me. "Soft, shivering, and silent," I said quietly to myself as I fell on a huge pile of snow. November 10th, the day I fell in love with snow. I felt as if I was blind for 17 years until that fateful day. I didn't realize how beautiful this world truly was until I opened my eyes. Thanksgiving is a day I can soulfully thank the Lord for giving us this weather for our temporary life here on Earth.
