Sleep is often 
embraced with
senses so alive... 

as they crave the
a n t i c i p a t i o n

of brimming dreams...
 
Sadly,
most wake up into the same
hollowness of oblivion ...
though the universe
never sleeps...

i so love the description of sleep, and that of the awakening is a bit poignant. Sleep, in most cases, does prove to be more fulfilling and intense than the awakening. Beautifully shows how we need to do more in our lives than our brains do when we sleep.

It can be very exciting to dream! No matter how bad your day might have been, there is always the possibility of a good dream at the end of it. But alas... we all need to wake up at some point at get out of bed. A great write :)

Beautiful words as always! But I think isn't the universe sleeping, when we sleep? Isn't the only universe that we know or are aware of in our sleep the one that is made up of our dreams and imagination? Isn't that universe the only one that is awake when we sleep? Just my opinion...

it's always waiting with endless opportunities to offer... but we
seldom seem to remember that while awake and go create something, do we?
we simply wake up into the exhaust of more "wishing"....
