Not a real story. But rather a very short excerpt and it couldn't be classified into any other genre.
'It was upon reading that word and hearing her pronounce it a different way, that I was wretched!
A powerful breckneck of silence followed by, through which I was lost to my little surprise.
"Why'd people all of a sudden expose different facets to things we get used to (in) a certain way?!"
Why does this affect us when it happens?
Perhaps it's the stagnant feeling of the sense of familiarity being snatched away. The shred of attachment to small things you've loved, is supposed to start to fade.
So, I have been mentally clung to a word I now realise I couldn't even pronounce?!
My entire sentiment throughout the day would depend on it by then. But, I stopped using it ever since. Though it continued to have the same meaning I first admired..
Thats something about life. One assumes; thinks one knows about it (and even likes what one thinks one knows and gets comfortable) but then one day one gets the surprise, and sees the error. Sometimes its something trivial and theres no great effect if one decides to NOT accept the new discovery. But sometimes, it ain't that simple. A thing as tiny as a 'word' can sure cause inconvenience/hurt if the attachment to it and the confidence about it being so or so was great enough. Another instance, take a habit. You dont realize its a bad/wrong one until late and then you find it difficult to change it. But life is all about knowing when/what to change and when/what not to. So go ahead and let that word remain intact in your memory if its alright you think. And yes, i cant help but admire your treasure trove of thoughts Manal. Its as rich as it could be and is real satisfying. Amazed.

Oh, interesting, I understand this...words are a challenging, beautiful thing and we can cling as a Poet...when differently pronounced...well, a whole world of surreality opens up, make the word yours and redefine it ;) xo

Yes yes...😪
So good to see after long💕
hahaha, do you think so?
Very perceptive for someone so young, my dear! You bring up some profound questions and state them eloquently. We don't always adjust well to sudden change and it's sometimes rather startling. I'm glad to have read this.
A couple of points (forgive me if I sound too much like your English teacher):
"I have been mentally clung" should simply be "I have mentally clung" ("been" is not required).
I suggest a different word choice than "breakneck," which is an adjective and means "dangerously fast."

Ofcourse I'm open to what you have to say regarding mistakes...
Aha, I see.. But is there a reason why "been" shouldn't be used? I'd
like to know so that I don't make this mistake again.
Aww, alright.... Would you suggest any synonym if you could please?

My simplest answer is the verb tense you are going for is not formed with "been." It's possible online to find conjugations of all kinds of verbs in that same way if you have questions.
As for the other question, you could say "a deafening silence followed," which is one of my favorite phrases, or it could be "a vacuum of silence followed" or "an uncomfortable [or awkward] silence followed." You don't need the preposition "by." I hope that helps.
Well,
I live in an elucidation,in a moiety, in the middle of a reversible nature, between shadows of stunned truths, where nothing and everything exists.
