It is the turning month, the time when life sleeps and our dreams shiver... when night grows bolder, darker, colder, and daylight seems so weak, slight, bending.
But the air that rushes into your lungs like a horde of ice-dripped savages sears souls into fully awakening from summer's trance.
And so we feel more alive in December's desolation than any other time of the year.
From the first line, I already know that this poem is a perfect description of December and the beginning of winter. As someone who finds winter very depressing despite its beauty, this definitely gave me a different point of view. I can feel the winter air throughout this poem in a whole new way. Very lovely!

Thank you, Julies (always wanted to visit Down Under!)
It reminds me of Shakespeare's mid Summers Nights Dream! I recommend it.
Over all a good poem :)

December. Month to prepare for the cold days. I liked the use of description leading to the strong ending. Thank you Nolo for sharing the excellent poetry.
