A Plea to the Populous

A poem utilizing alliteration.

Apparently, adequate appreciation

of the alliterative art

is absent.

But break this base blasphemy

with a brief ballad of beauty,

and carry contempt

for the crude, chaotic cadences

our culture consents,

for the destruction

of the daft diction

debilitating our domain,

is our divine and desperate duty.
