Of Time or Heaven

A poem inspired by the thought of Heaven. Where in the universe does it exist?

High above the severed skies of sorrow,

Dark and pure sights reveal a world renown;

Seeking all that brings forth for tomorrow,

Rejoicing nature let your voice resound;

 

Show us what our future brings forthcoming,

Reveal the way our souls bind with desire;

Every thought saves loyal hearts from numbing,

As hope drowns despair in a burning fire;

 

Swirls of Heaven open in love's doorway,

As endless harmony sounds out for light;

Warm flames of luster give a high display,

In shapes of every star within our sight;

 

When you see your makers face in Heaven,

Your soul and mind, pray that they be leavened;

Iambic feet may be a little off, it was my first attempt at a sonnet. Feedback is appreciated!
