once upon a time

Once upon a starry night
I had a dream you were mine.

Crystal lights dance upon the stage of heavens night sky

i felt the earth move in that single moment in time
I was lost in the idea of when your lips touched mine

But reality came,
I was next to nothing more than a candle flame
And on the shelf,
was the idea of you, resting, next to a prayer of mine.
