Sometimes I have flash backs of moments.

Those I wish could have lived a lifetime

That point where family was whole,
and a point that was not just a memory
but a thing that was.. ours
not just yours.... not just mine


Good-bye is never easy, and
no matter what
I find myself always looking at a mirror’s reflection on a backwards scene


Life is never something needing to be reviewed by way of a rear-view mirror on a lonely road
Life’s car has only forward gear, so I close my eyes at my own reflection
When it shows life taking place from the rear


I am driving west following the sun
Even as it kisses the world good night…
slips behind the mountains without a sound


I watch day and night split the sky and color the past
How time canvases the sky; The colors of a yesterday with tomorrows eye
Painted in the sky
as the last moments fade away


In silence
fades a yesterday into a today
with better hopes on what tomorrow brings
